Previously worked with startups in AI/ML, robotics, and digital biology as a VC at O'Reilly AlphaTech Ventures (OATV). Tinkered with photons as a nanoscale and quantum optics PhD researcher at UC Berkeley. Engineered and broke stuff at Oracle, EMC, and Vicor. Roger also serves as Program Chair for the O'Reilly Artificial Intelligence Conference.
Bharath received a BA and BS from UC Berkeley in EECS and Mathematics and was valedictorian of his graduating class in mathematics. He did his PhD in computer science at Stanford University where he studied the application of deep-learning to problems in drug-discovery. At Stanford, Bharath created the DeepChem open-source project to grow the deep drug discovery open source community, co-created the MoleculeNet benchmark suite to facilitate development of molecular algorithms, and more. Bharath's graduate education was supported by a Hertz Fellowship, the most selective graduate fellowship in the sciences. Bharath is the lead author of "TensorFlow for Deep Learning: From Linear Regression to Reinforcement Learning", a developer's introduction to modern machine learning, with O'Reilly Media. Today, Bharath is focused on designing the decentralized protocols that will unlock data and AI to create the next stage of the internet.
Alok’s worked with startups in crypto, genomics, and AI. He’s been a VC at Spectrum 28 and Benchmark. Before that he was an engineer and scientist in semiconductors and nanophotonics.
Previously a Senior Software Engineer at PlanGrid, TaskRabbit, Apple and Skype. Also got a rock band signed to a major label producing an album you can still buy today.
Previously: Director, Learning Group at O'Reilly Media; Community Evangelist for Apache Spark. Known as a "player/coach", with 35+ years tech industry experience, ranging from Bell Labs to early-stage start-ups, and core expertise in ML, NLP, cloud. Cited in 2015 as one of the Top 30 People in Big Data and Analytics by Innovation Enterprise. Also an advisor for Amplify Partners, co-chair of JupyterCon, and host for Exec Briefings at The AI Conf and Strata Data.
Caroline was head of ML/AI at smart home startup NoonHome before joining Computable. She has a Masters in Astrophysics from UC Berkeley, working with a Nobel-prize winning lab.
Currently conducting cryptoeconomics research at Computable. Fourth year Ph.D. student at Cornell working with advisors Sid Banerjee and Krishnamurthy Iyer. His research lies in the areas of mechanism design and algorithmic game theory. He is particularly interested in how artificial currencies can be used to improve efficiency when allocating resources without money.
Jordan Cooper is an Angel Investor in New York. His early stage blockchain investments include protocols such as Orchid, Livepeer, and some yet to be announced protocols. He has been a dedicated student and investor in the crypto space since 2013. He runs a white paper reading group in New York and SF called Crypto Club and frequently writes about blockchain at jordancooper.blog. Previously he was a founding partner and GP at Lerer Hippeau for 6 years, and concurrently built and ran two venture backed startups, Wildcard and Hyperpublic (acquired by GRPN). Jordan started his career at General Catalyst Partners and is a graduate of Dartmouth College.
Robert is the CTO and Chief Architect at Castlight Health and has been with Castlight since 2011. He led the engineering teams that built Castlight Action, a fully-automated platform for benefits professionals to leverage data and machine learning algorithms to connect employees to the right benefits and programs. Robert previously held senior development and management positions at Voxify, Avaya, and Lucent Bell Labs, and has a Bachelor's Degree in Physics and Philosophy from Rice University.
Kris Gale is an experienced engineering leader, having been the VP of Engineering at Yammer and CTO and co-founder of Clover Health.
Aaron is an entrepreneur and leadership advisor. He founded and ran @howaboutwe (acquired by IAC), was a leader of a series of large teams at @uber (Data, Marketing, Growth, Consumer and Driver product) and is currently senior advisor to CEOs at a number of high-growth companies.
